Blue Treasures of the Garden Karl Foerster was one of the most important perennial plant breeders in the early 20th century, also a successful writer. This book is one of his masterpieces. It contains almost all the historical texts of Karl Foerster and ensures even today for a unique poetic reading pleasure. The historical texts are supplemented by updated comments to new developments in the field of blue plants and their use throughout the garden year, written by selected experts.

Karl Foerster (1874 - 1970) war DER deutsche Gartengestalter des frühen 20. Jahrhunderts und gründete 1911 seine berühmte Staudengärtnerei in Berlin-Bornim bei Potsdam. Prof. Dr. Norbert Kühn leitet an der TU Berlin das Fachgebiet Vegetationstechnik und Pflanzenverwendung. Er ist Vorsitzender des Kuratoriums der Karl-Foerster-Stiftung und Mitglied des Arbeitskreises Pflanzenverwendung des BDS.
